Vinyl Records + Paint + Paper = Art in the Round

Twisted Track Gallery, November 17, 2024

A workshop to discover how to turn old vinyl records into art for the wall and more!

Artis/instructors Dwight Head and Barbetta Lockart will introduce you to creating works of art using paint, glue, paper and mixed media on old phonograph records as your art surface. You will be able to start and possibly complete 1-2 art pieces that can be hung on the wall or positioned on a table/bookshelf, etc.

All materials will be supplied to students. If you have special decorative papers, fabrics or photos (make a copy of any photo; do not use the original as it will not be removable from the finished piece!!), please bring them. Additionally, your pieces may still be wet when you leave, so please bring something for transporting your artwork home.

This class goes through lunchtime; please bring a snack for yourself if you wish: the class will not have a formal lunch break.
